The School of Education has 3 undergraduate majors in Applied Psychology, Pre-school Education (Teacher Training) and Home Economics (Teacher Training), 6 research institutions including the Institute of Educational Development Industry, the Institute of Child Potential Development and the Institute of Applied Psychology, and more than 10 on-campus laboratories such as the Orff Laboratory, the Room for Sensory Integration Therapy and the Basic Psychology Laboratory, as well as more than 20 off-campus professional training bases.

There are 40 teachers in the School, including 4 professors and 9 associate professors. In the recent five years, the faculty members have presided over and participated in nearly 30 humanities and social science projects of the Ministry of Education, key projects of the Ministry of Education in the National Education Science Planning, and provincial social science planning projects, published nearly 100 papers in SSCI, CSSCI and other domestic and international journals as well as nearly 10 academic books and teaching materials, participated New Century Talents Support Program of Fujian Province and Outstanding Young Talents Support Program of Fujian Province, and won the Social Science Achievement (Young Masterpiece) Award in Fujian Province and the third prize of the provincial teaching competition for young teachers, etc. In the School, students won the first prize in the Contest of Teaching Skills for Teachers-College Students in Fujian Province and the first prize in the "Huawen Cup" Contest of Teaching Abilities Communication and Demonstration for Teachers-College Students in Preschool Education Major. The School is actively responding to the call of FPNU for application-oriented transformation, and is striving to cultivate high-quality application-oriented, technically skilled talents and teachers on vocational education needed for regional economic and social development.
