A Video Conference Between FPNU and IPB was Held

On the morning of September 10th, a video conference was held between Fujian Polytechnic Normal University (FPNU) and Institut Pertanian Bogor (IPB) to promote inter-university exchanges and cooperation.

Attendees to the online conference were Rokhmin Dahuri, former minister of Marine Fisheries Ministry of Indonesia, chairman of the Marine Fisheries Committee of Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle, and professor of the Fisheries and Marine Sciences School of IPB, Arif Satria, president of IPB, Dodik Ridho, vice-president of IPB, Iskandar Siregar, director of IPB International Program, Chen Zhiyong, vice-president of FPNU, as well as representatives from the Office of International Cooperation and Exchange of FPNU, Science and Research Administration Department of FPNU and the China-Indonesia Sea Food Research and Development Center.


Vice-president Chen Zhiyong, Professor Rokhmin Dahur and President Arif Satria delivered their speeches respectively. The two parties expressed that they will promote all-round cooperation and carry out exchanges between teachers and students in line with the construction of “Two Countries, Twin Parks” both in China and Indonesia.

FPNU’s latest progress of applying for the Belt and Road Joint Research and Development Center, a Fujian Provincial Technological Innovation Platform, was briefed in the conference. Both parties recognized the achievements made since the signing of the inter-university cooperation agreement and reached a preliminary consensus on jointly developing the major of food science in the future.



       As a state-owned university in Indonesia, IPB was founded on September 1st, 1963, and situated in Bogor, a famous city in West Java. IPB consists of 9 faculties including Faculty of Agriculture, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences, Faculty of Forestry, with 36 departments, 24 research centers, 159 undergraduate and graduate courses, and 18 vocational education courses. Based on its comprehensive disciplines and solid foundations, IPB attracts over 30,000 students. Among the diverse disciplines, Agriculture and Forestry are the two ace disciplines internationally renowned. IPB ranks 118th in QS Asia University Rankings (2021).
