Recently, at the awarding ceremony of the “1st Fujian-Hong Kong Youth Social Responsibility Promotion Ambassador” hosted by The Mirror, our Affiliated Primary School and Hong Kong Taoist Ching Chung Primary School (Wu King Estate) established a link as sister schools, which was an attention-grabbing highlight of the ceremony.

In the strategic cooperation framework between FPNU and The Mirror, we actively worked for the formation of sister schools between the Affiliated Primary School and Hong Kong Taoist Ching Chung Primary School (Wu King Estate), referring to the purpose of Fujian-Hong Kong Youth Social Responsibility promotion activities. In a bid to cultivate students’ sense of social responsibility and strengthen the education in national conditions, the two schools will carry out cooperation in teaching research, curriculum development, students interaction and parents committee exchanges.

The establishment of sister schools is to jointly explore the integrated roles of enterprises, universities and primary and middle schools in building a new model for nurturing teenagers’ social responsibilities. The efforts we made have been recognized by Xu Xinying, Executive President of The Mirror, and Ye Xiongbiao, President of Fujian International Culture Association in their remarks in the awarding ceremony. Liang Zhenying, Vice Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, presided over the ceremony and delivered a speech. Xu Kai, deputy head of the Department of Education and Science and Technology of the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the Hong Kong S.A.R., and Lu Wenduan, Vice Chairman of the All-China Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese, among other leaders, attended the ceremony. Liao Shenji, President of FPNU was invited to attend the ceremony online, accompanied by the relevant heads of the Office of Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macao Affairs of FPNU, Office of Academic Affairs and our Affiliated Primary School.

President Liao Shenji gave guidance to the relevant work. He hopes that the Affiliated Primary School would cherish opportunities and platforms, harness the geographical advantages, educational resources and its own characteristics, take the initiative to strengthen docking, actively innovate carriers, continuously enhance brand building, and strive to promote the teenagers’ sense of national identity and pride. He asked the relevant functional departments of the our university to strengthen services and support work, help establish and improve the regular mechanism for communication, exchange and coordination, thus offer convenience for the establishment of sister schools, deepen exchanges and cooperation between Fujian and Hong Kong, and promote the integration of Hong Kong teenagers into the overall situation of national development.

Li Yunen, Principal of our Affiliated Primary School, said that the establishment of sister school relations has not only opened a new era of inter-school cooperation and broaden the horizons of teachers and students, but has also enriched the school’s education and teaching practice. It helps us to learn from the school running experience of the friend school, share high-quality teaching resources, cultivate a sense of patriotism and social responsibility, and achieve higher quality development. Li also said they cherished the opportunity and would live up to the mission and promote sister school cooperation in the practice as soon as possible.

It is said that we will jointly prepare the principal forum of the primary and middle schools in Fujian Province and Hong Kong with The Mirror and further promote the cultural and educational exchange and cooperation between Fujian and Hong Kong, thus providing a broader exchange and development platform for our Affiliated Primary School.
