Professor Chen Lizhong, Member of the CPPCC Provincial Committee from FPNU Made Suggestions at Fujian’s Two Sessions

      Fujian provincial two sessions opened on January 21. Professor Chen Lizhong, Head of Academy of Arts and Crafts of FPNU, member of Standing Committee of Fujian Provincial Committee of China Association for Promoting Democracy and member of Fujian Provincial CPPCC, performed his duties in the plenary meeting and group discussions, and with his professional knowledge and researches, he actively offered advice and suggestions for Fujian stories of building China into a socialist modern country in all respects”.

      During the sessions, Professor Chen Lizhong submitted a proposal titled Suggestions on Comprehensively Promoting the Application of Research Outcomes of Intangible Cultural Heritage Crafts in Application-oriented Universities in the Process of Integration of Enterprises with Vocational Schools and Universities in Fujian Province. He deems that it is important for the inheritance and development of intangible cultural heritage crafts to integrate the resources of enterprises with vocational schools and universities, including application-oriented universities, strengthen practical teaching and training and develop new talent cultivation model. He put forward four suggestions on giving full play to the resources of application-oriented universities for the inheritance of intangible cultural heritage crafts. First, set up majors of intangible cultural heritage crafts based on the characteristics of school resources; Second, build application-oriented training bases and laboratories; Third, introduce professional teachers and build a team of applied teachers; Fourth, strengthen the connection and interaction with enterprises and provide more jobs through the integration of enterprises with vocational schools and universities.The United Front Work Department of FPNU Committee of the CPC, Academy of Arts and Crafts
