On March 22nd, FPNU and Xiamen Talent Service Center jointly held a spring on-campus job fair to promote the employment of 2023 graduates, as instructed by the CPC Party Central Committee and the State Council. Deputy Secretary of the FPNU Party Committee Lin Haifeng came on the scene. Student Work Department, heads of all Schools, graduating class counselors, unemployed 2023 graduates and some non-graduating students participated in the recruitment event.
Deputy Secretary Lin Haifeng visited various employers, communicated in-depth with recruiters to understand their employment needs, and recommended our graduates accordingly. Also, he talked face-to-face with on-site graduates, encouraging them to build up their confidence, adjust their expectations, and find employment as soon as possible.
At the job fair, graduates were enthusiastic and took the initiative in communicating with employers on job needs, work content, salary and welfare, career prospect, etc., after which they actively submitted resumes for their desired job positions.
The School of Economics and Management, the School of Culture, Media and Law, the School of Foreign Language, and the School of Food Science and Engineering invited a total of 21 enterprises to participate in the seminar on expanding job posts and promoting employment. During the seminar, they recommended our graduates and discussed school-enterprise cooperation projects such as joint talent training, internship base construction, and industry-academia integration.
It is reported that a total of 48 companies participated in the job fair, of which 26 were Xiamen-based enterprises, providing a total of 198 job positions and 1,049 openings. More than 500 graduates of the Class of 2023 and more than 800 non-graduating students attended the fair. The employers received 625 resumes and reached preliminary intentions on employment with graduates 239 person/times.
