Dear Teachers and Students, Alumni at Home and Abroad, and Friends,

As the morning light illuminates the dawn and a new Year of the Horse unfolds, on behalf of the Party Committee and Administration of Fujian Polytechnic Normal University, we extend our most sincere greetings and best wishes to all faculty, staff, retired comrades, students, alumni at home and abroad, and friends from all walks of life who care about and support FPNU's development.

Looking back on 2025, all members of FPNU strived with relentless urgency, inscribing the footprints of hard work on the journey of progress. We joined hands to accelerate the university's development, presenting a vibrant and thriving landscape.

This year, guided by faith, we thoroughly studied and implemented Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era and the spirit of the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China. We firmly enforced the eight-point rule on improving Party and government conduct, strengthening Party leadership, inspiring the morale for hard work and entrepreneurship, and consolidating a clean and upright campus environment.

This year, we focused on solid work. After 20 months of construction and two months of relocation, the new campus with a total construction area of 150,000 square meters was fully put into use, turning the long-awaited "new campus dream" into reality. New majors such as Digital Economy, Marine Technology and Sports Rehabilitation were launched in response to industrial needs. Breakthroughs were made in national first-class courses, cross-Strait joint training programs and Sino-foreign cooperative education projects. The Fujian Provincial Overseas Chinese Language Education Base was successfully established, promising a bright future.

This year, we took reform as the driving force. A series of reforms in key areas advanced steadily, with vigorous discussions on educational concepts clarifying the goal of building a first-class application-oriented university. Organized scientific research achieved remarkable results, with national-level projects reaching a historic high and technology contract turnover exceeding 10 million yuan. We successfully passed the undergraduate teaching evaluation by the Ministry of Education, upgrading talent training quality and educational level. Students achieved frequent successes in national academic competitions such as the "Challenge Cup". The university was officially included in Fujian Province's master's degree-granting unit cultivation program and upgraded to a Class A undergraduate university, opening broader development prospects.

This year, we relied on talents for development. We introduced 56 high-level talents and added 74 provincial and municipal-level talents, with two new promising scholars joining the "Minjiang Scholars Program", enhancing the talent-strengthening university strategy. University-local integration deepened, with effective implementation of special actions to serve Fuqing and flourishing initiatives like "Hundreds of Doctors Entering Enterprises" and "Technology Vice Presidents + Talent Service Teams". The university's supporting role in the China-Indonesia "Two Countries, Two Parks" construction became more prominent, strengthening its mission of serving, researching and leading vocational education with distinct characteristics.

Time flows like a river, and only solid work brings rewards. Every dedicated teacher, diligent student, and committed staff member is the protagonist in pursuing dreams and a charming scene on this land. We salute and cheer for all of you!

Pursuing dreams across mountains and seas, we never feel the distance; facing a long journey, we march forward boldly. 2026 is the first year of the 15th Five-Year Plan period. Let us show the courage to forge ahead like galloping steeds, stimulate the vitality of thousands of horses racing forward, and maintain the momentum of unremitting efforts. Seizing the opportunity and continuing to strive, we will jointly paint a brilliant chapter for FPNU in the magnificent picture of Chinese-style modernization.
