At 8 a.m. on July 1st, a ceremony celebrating the centenary of the CPC was held in Beijing’s Tian’anmen Square, with Xi Jinping, general secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, Chinese president and chairman of the Central Military Commission, delivering an important speech. The central groupfor studying theories of the Party Committee of FPNU convened a political study session at the academic lecture hall of Science Building for watching and listening to the live broadcast of the important speech delivered by President Xi. Present at the session were heads of all units and all Party members of FPNU.
Partymembers ofsecondary Partyorganizations and other units, as well as faculty and students also watched and listened to the speech via broadcast, TV and the Internet, whichwas followed by related symposiums convened to share their thoughts and feelings on the speech.
For faculty and students, the centenary marks the new vigorous start of the next prosperous period. Spoken with force and deliberation, the inspiring speech of general secretary Xi Jinping filled Chinese people with pride and bolstered our confidence in upholding the guidance of the CPC. Without the CPC, we could neverestablish the People’s Republic of China, neither could we realize the the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. We should firmly support the guidance of the CPC and unite closely around it with Comrade Xi at its core. We must continue topromote glorious traditions, stay true to our nature as a true Communist Party, and pass on and carry forward the great founding spirit of the Party. We mustpool as much strength as possible for collective endeavors indeveloping education to people’s satisfaction andbuilding higher-level polytechnic normal colleges and universities with distinctive characteristics. We will make more contributions with concrete actions to achieve the second centenary goal and national rejuvenation.
Teachers with Party memberships showed that the Party need have no worry because they will help build a strong country. Wewill resolutely respond to the call of the CPC with Comrade Xi at its core. We will remain true to our original aspiration and founding missions, uphold firm ideals and beliefs, and implement the Party’s general principle. We will keep a close connection with the people, alwaysconsidering what they want and work together with them. We are ready to share will and woe with our people, and work tirelessly to satisfy their yearning for a better life. We willredouble our efforts to win honors for the country and write a new chapter for the quality development of colleges and universities.
Students showed that they are in the prime of life and are willing todedicate their youths to the CPC. We will shoulder our duties to achievenational rejuvenation with the Party’sinstructions in our heart and bolster our ambition, backbone and confidence as the Chinese people. We will grow up healthy and sound as achievers that live up to the times and the aspirations of the Party and our people, anddevote ourselves to the CPC as long as life endures.
