Top application-oriented major

Recently,2021 Alumni Association Ranking of Chinese Universities–College Entrance Examination Application Guide, which was written exclusively by national third-party institute for theevaluation of universities Cuaa.Net, has been officially published by Science Press. It released the latest rankings of 2021 alumni association of Chinesefirst-class majors and 2021 Chinesefirst-classmajors in light industry. In the rankings of the major of packaging engineering, FPNU tops the list, getting a six-star rating and ranked as China's top application-orientedmajor in school level.

As the most influential, convincing and creative leading brand of the ranking of Chinese universities,Alumni Association Ranking of Chinese Universities has successively issued several ranking lists for 19 years, such as alumni association ranking of Chinese universities, the ranking of Chinesefirst-class disciplines, the ranking of Chinese first-classmajors,and the ranking of teaching quality of Chinese universitiesetc. The ranking this time divides majors of Chinese universities into “research type” and “application type” to rate them for the first time.

FPNU’s packaging engineering major was started in 2012.It is the only public-owned undergraduate major of packaging engineering in Fujian, one of the first Fujian first-class undergraduate majors,the specialty major of service industry and the backbonemajor ofdemonstration groupof theservice industry (chain) in Fujian. Based on this major, FPNU founded the only Packaging EngineeringIndustry Technology Innovation Center in Fujian and Fujian University Engineering Research Center for flexible plastic food packaging technology. They are available for the development and application of food soft plastic packaging material, research on food packaging safety, food packaging design and so on, which has formed a complete system of design and research of food packaging.
