Recently, the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China has announced the filing and approval results of undergraduate majors in regular colleges and universities in 2021. Five undergraduate majors of FPNU are all listed in the newly added undergraduate majors, which will officially enroll students in 2022.
The five undergraduate majors registered by the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China are: Advertising, Mechanical and Electronic Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering, Marine Resources and Environment, and Artificial Intelligence.
At present, FPNU has a total of 35 undergraduate majors, including 12 normal undergraduate majors focusing on vocational education teacher cultivation and 23 applied undergraduate majors, covering 8 first-class disciplines.
In recent years, based on the orientation of cultivating high-quality applied and technical talents and vocational education teachers, FPNU has optimized and adjusted the major structure and pattern, enriched advantageous majors, improved characteristic majors, optimized traditional majors and developed emerging majors. Keeping a foothold in Fuqing, serving Fujian and radiating the whole country, FPNU has gradually formed a professional structure with a reasonable pattern, complementary advantages, distinctive characteristics and coordinated development of multiple disciplines.
