On the morning of February 4, Lai Hairong, Secretary of the Party Committee of FPNU, visited Sui Jun, member and Vice President of the Party Leading Group of All-China Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese in Fuzhou. Vice President Sui held cordial talks with Secretary Lai. Chen Shihai, Secretary and President of the Party Leading Group of Fujian Returned Overseas Chinese Federation, and Lin Gaoxing, Secretary of the Party Leading Group of Fuzhou Returned Overseas Chinese Federation attended the talk.
Secretary Lai introduced the basic conditions and future development plan of FPNU to Vice President Sui. He mentioned that FPNU featured close relationship with overseas Chinese and carried out a series of projects regarding overseas Chinese recently. He also expressed FPNU’s wish to work with the Federation at all levels, and receive guidance and support from the Federation.
Vice President Sui approved of the strategic vision of FPNU and expressed good wishes for the future development of FPNU. She encouraged FPNU to give full play to its strong connection with overseas Chinese, focus on the overall situation and concerns of overseas Chinese affairs, forwardly align with organizations of overseas Chinese at all levels, and actively explore a new mode for colleges to participate in the work of the Federation in the new era. She expects that FPNU will invest and innovate in aspects like overseas Chinese research, consulting services, talent cultivation and cultural inheritance, jointly advance the internationalization of universities and cities, and tell China’s story to the world.
Secretary Chen Shihai and Secretary Lin Gaoxing gave their suggestions upon the establishment of the overseas directorate of FPNU, the cultivation of Indonesian-featured tech talents, and other work concerning overseas Chinese.
