On April 28, President Liao Shenji led a team to visit enterprises, including Furong New Materials, Lantian Packaging Materials, and Fuqing Xuanlang Optoelectronics Technology. This special campaign was launched to create job opportunities and promote employment for students due to the stipulation that university presidents and party secretaries visit enterprises to build school-enterprise cooperation platforms and widen employment channels for graduates.
At the school-enterprise forum, President Liao introduced the basic situation and future plans of the university. He pointed out that FPNU attaches great importance to graduates’ employment and entrepreneurship; it hopes to strengthen its communication with graduate employers, which in turn promotes the university to adjust the majors open to prospective students, to optimize its talent training mechanism, and to adapt its talent training to social needs. This way, FPNU expects to realize the mutual promotion of graduate employment and enterprise development and better support local economic and social development.
The corporate leadership expressed their appreciation for the development of the university and its talent training effectiveness, and praised the work performance of its graduates and interns. As well, they introduced the business operations and put forward valuable suggestions on in-depth cooperation, talent training, student internship, and graduate employment.
Moreover, FPNU and Fuqing Xuanlang Optoelectronics Technology held a scientific research cooperation signing ceremony. President Liao hailed their cooperation on “solutions to automatic photoelectric film packaging devices” as a vivid practice that gives full play to their respective advantages to promote industrial transformation and upgrading, which will facilitate realizing in-depth cooperation between the two parties and creating a joint laboratory with regional characteristics. He hopes that both parties will work together to strengthen the cooperation and achieve positive results.
In the next stage, our university will continue adhering to the strategy of “Going out” and “Bringing in” to further deepen the cooperation between schools and enterprises, extensively widen employment channels, and establish a long-term mechanism of visiting enterprises and creating job opportunities for students. This way, it is hoped to ensure higher and better-quality employment for 2022 graduates, and thus guarantee the success of the special campaign.
