On December 2nd, the First Forum for Famous Teachers and Principals of Vocational Education in Fujian was successfully held in Fuqing, sponsored by Fujian Provincial Department of Education and undertaken by FPNU and Provincial Vocational Education Teacher Training Center. Presidents and principals from 50 secondary and higher vocational colleges attended the forum. It was held online and offline, attracting a total of 15,000 online viewers.

     Wu Weiping, Deputy Director of the Department of Education, pointed out that building a team of high-quality "double-qualified" teachers is the first and key factor to develop vocational education of high-quality. In his report, Wu proposed that we should clearly understand the current situation and accurately seize the potential opportunities of vocational education development, implement the fundamental task of strengthening moral education and cultivating people, grasp the trend of digital economy, strengthen industry-education integration and promote the high-quality development of vocational education.

        Party Secretary of FPNU Lai Hailong hopes that, through the forum, we can deeply discuss the practical experience and future trend of high-quality development of vocational education under the background of the new era, inject new momentum to better improve the development of FPNU, and better serve the high-quality development of vocational education in Fujian.

        During the forum, experts and principles carried out in-depth discussions and exchanges from the aspects of “double-high” construction, “double-qualified” teacher training, famous teacher training, industry-education integration and so on, to explore for the construction of vocational education teaching staff and the high-quality development of vocational education in Fujian.
