A few days ago, the School of Electronic and Mechanical Engineering received a letter of commendation from Fujian Goldwind Technology Co., LTD. In the letter, Goldwind Technology highly appraises and praises the performance of 10 students majoring in new energy science and engineering from the School of Electronic and Mechanical Engineering of our university.

During the internship, ten students, including Zheng Chaohai, Jiang Kai, Wu Yangyuling, Zhang Wenhui, Guo Shengyu, Zhang Qianyu, Bai Chaoyi, Cai Jiale, Chen Zhenhao and Huang Xiaoming, majoring in new energy science and engineering in Grade 2019, strictly abided by the company's rules and regulations, earnestly learnt the knowledge of wind turbine assembly, humbly sought advice, adhered to the front line, worked overtime and completed the production task with quality and quantity. They actively participated in various activities organized by the company and successfully completed the internship task.

It is worth mentioning that on November 23, a 16MW offshore wind turbine jointly developed by the Three Gorges Group and Goldwind Technology was launched in Fujian Three Gorges Offshore Wind Power International Industrial Park. The wind turbine has the largest single-unit capacity, the largest impeller diameter and the lightest weight per unit megawatt in the world. It has been selected as one of the "Top Ten Powers of State-owned Enterprises in 2022" by the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council Press Center, and is a landmark achievement of an important breakthrough in high-end equipment manufacturing capacity of China's offshore wind power large-capacity units. Ten students participated in the assembly of 16 MW offshore wind turbines and the preparation of the off-line ceremony during the internship in Goldwind Technology, showing good comprehensive quality and spiritual outlook.
