On the morning of December 16th, the forum on the high-quality development of vocational education and the 45th anniversary celebration were held in the academic lecture hall in FPNU.
Lai Hairong, Party secretary of the university, presided over the meeting.
President Liao Shenji made a speech at the meeting. On behalf of the university, he extended a warm welcome to all the leaders, guests and alumni. He reviewed and summarized 45 years of history and development. He stressed that the university should take the 45th anniversary as a new starting point, adhere to the guidance of Xi Jinping’s Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, comprehensively study and implement the spirit of the 20th CPC National Congress, and speed up the construction of a high-level polytechnic normal university with distinctive characteristics. We should contribute to the construction of new Fujian in the new development stage, building a great modern socialist country in all aspects and comprehensively promoting the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
Leaders of Fuqing Municipal Committee and Government, Indonesian Chinese Chamber of Commerce, the Federation of Fujian Association, the World Federation of Fuqing Association and other overseas Chinese associations, and presidents of Bogor Agricultural University, Alaza University, Jakarta National University, Nagasaki International University,Bangkok Thunburi University and Shih Hsin University and I-Shou University sent congratulatory letters or video greetings to the 45th anniversary of our university. Alumni from home and abroad, affiliated schools and base colleges also sent video greetings to celebrate this big event.
Wei Xiuhua, the teacher representative and outstanding teacher from Fujian Province, made a speech. Xue Qiang, chairman of Xiangtan Hongji Longsheng Real Estate, offered sincere wishes on behalf of all alumni for the 45th anniversary. Secretary Pan Yuteng pointed out that our university, which had been an important part of Fujian Normal University, and integrated its operation into Fujian Normal University for 36 years, sharing a long-term historical intersection, rich common memory and strong emotional friendship with FNU.
Wu Weiping, on behalf of the Education Working Committee of Fujian Provincial Party Committee and Fujian Provincial Department of Education, extended warm congratulations on the 45th anniversary of our university, and best wishes and cordial greetings to all the teachers, students and alumni. He made three requirements for the university. First, the school should further improve its position in development under the guidance of the spirit of the 20th CPC National Congress. Second, we should take cultivating new people in the new era as our own responsibility and further strengthen the orientation of the school. Third, we should take the independent setting of the school as an opportunity to further expand the development pattern.
At the celebration meeting, all participants watched the video of the 45th anniversary of our university.
