
In December 16th, accompanied by Qiu Xiaoyan,Deputy Director of the Asian Affairs Office of the Provincial Foreign Affairs Office, a delegation led by Hattori Kenji, Vice President of the Japan-China Association, visited Fuqing. Associate Professor Wang Xianke and two students of Japanese major undertook the on-site translation work for the delegation. A symposium with the delegation was held as well in FPNU. The head of the International Cooperation and Exchange Office attended the symposium.
During the symposium, both sides focused on the themes of Sino-Japanese economic development and cultural exchanges between the two countries and exchanged views on issues of concern to Japanese major students, such as opportunities and challenges in the AI era, applications of AI in the cultural and creative industries, Japanese anime culture, employment conditions in Japan and the competence requirements for graduates.
The participating students said that through this event, they gained a more comprehensive understanding of Japanese culture and the employment prospects of the Japanese major. They also look forward to more learning and exchange opportunities in the future.
