On the morning of May 10th , FPNU held a video conference at WuMaShan Campus to discuss its cooperation with Chu Hai College of Higher Education (CHC). Ms. Jane Zhang, Executive Vice President of CHC, as well as relevant principals of the Department of Chinese Literature, the Department of Finance and Economics, and the Department of Higher Education on International Trade attended the conference online. Professor Chen Zhiyong, Vice President of FPNU, and relevant FPNU principals of Office of Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macao Affairs, School of Economics and Management, School of Culture, Media and Law, School of Foreign Languages, etc., also attended the conference online.

At the conference, Vice President Chen Zhiyong introduced the basic situation of FPNU and hoped that the two sides would have an in-depth discussion on students' further studies in CHC, and inter-school academic, teaching and cultural exchanges. He suggested that the two universities sign a Memorandum of Cooperation based on the discussion outcomes to pave way for follow-up cooperation.

Executive Vice President Jane Zhang introduced the historical background and development of Chu Hai College of Higher Education, and hoped to carry out substantive cooperation with corresponding faculties of FPNU. Other CHC principles also introduced the basic situation of the departments and faculties respectively, and welcomed the students of FPNU to pursue a master's degree in CHC.

Chu Hai College of Higher Education, formerly known as Zhuhai University, was established in Guangzhou in 1947 and moved to Hong Kong in 1949. It is the oldest private institution of higher education in Hong Kong. The name of the College "Chu Hai" literally means Pearl-Sea in Chinese, which urges its students to be as pure as a pearl (Chu) and to pursue knowledge which is as deep as the sea (Hai).
