In the commemoration of the 10th anniversary of the death of the famous overseas Chinese leader Liem Sioe Liong(Lin Shaoliang), on the morning of June 21, Lai Hairong, Secretary of the Party Committee of FPNU, and Liao Shenji, President of FPNU, went to the Fuqing Overseas Chinese Museum Liem Sioe Liong Memorial Hall, to lay a flower basket at the memorial in remembrance of him. Relevant heads of Party and Administration Office of FPNU and Publicity Department attended the event.

        Accompanied by Zheng Chengsheng, the representative of Salim Group of Industries Fuqing project, and Chen Jianzhong, the curator of the memorial hall, the school leaders visited the four thematic exhibition halls to learn more about Mr. Lin's legendary life. Touched by the stories of the capable overseas Chinese represented by Lin, who worked hard to start their own business, cared about their homeland and invested in education, our school leaders expressed their high respect and paid deep tribute to Mr. Lin Shaoliang.

        After the visit, Secretary Lai and President Liao had a discussion with Zheng Chengsheng. Zheng conveyed the gratitude of Jin Yongliang, Vice President of Salim China, and thanked the school leaders for taking time to come and remember Lin Shaoliang. Mr. Lai said that Lin Shaoliang is an outstanding representative of Fujianese overseas Chinese leaders and the pride of Fujian businessmen, who made outstanding contributions to the economic and social development of Fuqing and Fuzhou.
