On June 24, the 8th Congress of Fujian Provincial Federation of Social Sciences was held in Fuzhou. Secretary of the Fujian Provincial Party Committee Yin Li attended the congress and delivered a speech. Governor Zhao Long, the Chairman of Political Consultative Conference of Fujian Province Cui Yuying, and provincial leaders Zhang Yan, Wu Kailin, Liang Jianyong, Wu Hongqin, Li Dejin, and Liu Xianxiang attended the conference. The decision on awarding the 14th Fujian Provincial Social Science Outstanding Achievement Award was read out at the conference, and awards were given to the winning representatives. Professor Chen Zhiyong, the vice president of FPNU, attended the conference as the representative who won the first prize and accepted the award from the provincial leaders.

         The Fujian Provincial Social Science Outstanding Achievement Award is selected every two years and is the highest award in the provincial social science field issued by the Fujian Provincial People's Government. A total of 30 first prizes, 104 second prizes and 171 third prizes were awarded this year. Among them, Professor Chen Zhiyong’s consulting report Current Situation, Risks and Countermeasures of Data Monopoly of Major Super Platforms in China won the first prize;  Professor Wen Zhiba’ monograph Knowledge, Literature, Academic History: Research on Textual Research in the Southern Song Dynasty won the second prize; Liu Qiang’s paper Objects, Space, Memory and Cultural Identity: Review and Prospect of Sports Museum Research at Home and Abroad won the third prize. This is the first time that FPNU's teachers have won the first prize of the Provincial Social Science Outstanding Achievement Award, which reflects the new progress and new achievements of the high-quality development of the FPNU's scientific research work, surely inspiring FPNU’s teachers to work hard, climbing the peak of scientific research, achieving self-transcendence, and striving for newer and greater achievements for FPNU.
