On the morning of June 23, the 2022 Graduation Ceremony and Degree Awarding Ceremony was grandly held in FPNU. School leaders of FPNU Liao Shenji, Lin Haifeng, Zhang Yi, Chen Zhiyong and Shang Guangmei attended the graduation ceremony. Members of the School Reform and Development Committee, the principals of the Party and government of each unit, the counselors of graduating classes, and the 2022 graduates attended the graduation ceremony.

         The ceremony kicked off when all teachers and students sang the national anthem.

        On behalf of FPNU, President Liao Shenji delivered a speech. He expressed warm congratulations to all graduates and heartfelt thanks to teachers and parents, and looked back at the university and looked forward to a bright future with the graduates. He pointed out that youth shinesbecause of courage and responsibility, and life is brilliant because of struggle and hard work. Once-in-a-century pandemic has made our study and life unusual, and it has also made us feel the greatness and strength of the motherland. The collegetime that the 2022 graduates have gone through together is not only a dazzling dream-chasing time in the youth memorial book, but also an extraordinary experience for everyone to overcome the epidemic, complete their studies, and start a new chapter. President Liao put forward three hopes to the graduates, including lifelong learning, unremitting struggle, and glorious China.

        First, we should maintain a state of lifelong learning. Dreams start from learning, and careers can only be achieved by abilities. we must always maintain a state of never-stop and tireless learning. we must learn from books and social practice. It is necessary to not only learn the majors and business, but also achieve "the unity of learning and practicing". we need to continue to enrich and sublimate themselves, so that they can build the sails of voyages with learning, pave the way for long journeys with knowledge, sail to the other side of their dreams, and achieve lifelong life with lifelong learning.

        Second, we must have the determination to work tirelessly. There is only the beauty of hard work, but no brilliance that can be achieved in the wait. It is not advisable to lie flat, and it is impossible to win. It is necessary to correctly deal with temporary successes and failures, and not be discouraged by setbacks. Not only will people be able to go with the wind, but they will be able to sail against the current, so that both good times and bad times will become the wealth of life rather than the burden of life. we must be determined to be lofty, determined to be practical, work solidly, do every little thing well, act diligently, be down-to-earth "accumulate a few steps", and move forward "to a thousand miles" in pursuit of their dreams. we must achieve their career success in the fiery and hard-working youth, open up a vast world of their own, achieve the "center position" in life, and be "the focus". 

        Third, we should have the self-consciousness to make China glorious. The progress of a country is engraved with the footprints of youth; the future of a nation depends on the power of youth. we should combine the specific goals of study and struggle with the great goal of national rejuvenation, strengthen our consciousness of making China glorious, strengthen our belief in "youth is for the Party, and live up to the people", practice the mission of "being a pillar for rejuvenation, a pioneer for a powerful country ", and always put patriotism, ambition to strengthen the country, and dedication to the country reflected in rooting in the people, devoting themselves to the work, doing well in their job, and contributing to the society. We should take the initiative to integrate ourselves into the whole society, treat small things as big things, do extraordinary achievements in ordinary positions, live up to the times, and interpret "pure love only for China" with practical actions.

        Deputy Secretary of FPNU Party Committee Lin Haifeng presided over the graduation ceremony.

        Vice President Chen Zhiyong read out the Decision of Fujian Normal University on Approving the Graduation of 1,660 Students in 2022, Decision of Fujian Normal University on Granting Bachelor's Degrees to 1,660 Undergraduates in 2022 and the list of undergraduate graduates in 2022 to be admitted to postgraduates.

        Vice-President Shang Guangmei announced the list of undergraduate graduates' enlistment and alumni liaison officers.

        The school leaders issued the alumni liaison letter of appointment to the newly hired alumni liaison representative.

        A teacher representative and associate professor of the School of Culture, Media and Law Jiang Yueting, a representative of undergraduate graduates Ye Meihui, from the class of 2018 majoring in financial management, and a representative of master graduates Chen Jinyang, from the class of 2019 majoring in food biochemical engineering made warm speeches respectively.

          At the ceremony, the graduate representatives recited poems, sang songs, and performed piano performances to describe the process of university life, the good relationship between teachers and students, and the friendship between classmates. The graduates expressed their blessing for their alma mater, their gratitude to their teachers, and their reluctance to part with their classmates, which made many students on the scene tearful and moved.
