Recently, the Chinese courses organized by the School of Overseas Education of FPNU were officially open to the students in Jakarta Nanyang School.

The courses are designed to develop the interest of primary and middle school students overseas in learning Chinese and are taught by experienced teachers from the School of Overseas Education. The first two online courses are Chinese Calligraphy and Spoken Chinese. At present, 15 middle school students and 28 primary school students have signed up for the courses respectively.

Jakarta Nanyang School is a private international school providing trilingual education, namely English, Chinese and Indonesian. It is founded by Mr. Lin Hongxiu, Chairman of Rongqiao Group and famous Chinese entrepreneur whose ancestral home is Fuqing.

Previously, FPNU and Jakarta Nanyang School have signed the memorandum of understanding and cooperated in Chinese education, culture exchange and education, etc. In the future, the two schools will continue to promote exchange and cooperation on spreading Chinese traditional culture and promoting friendship between China and Indonesia.
