On March 31, President Liao Shenji met with Chen Benmei, Professor form Chinese University of Hong Kong and Academician of the Singapore Academy of Engineering, who came to our campus on invitaiton. The meeting was accompanied by relevant principals from Party and Administration offices and the School of Electronic and Mechanical Engineering.

Liao introduced the school-running situation, development plan, running characteristics and other aspects. He hoped that Academician Chen would help develop the university and provide support in discipline construction and talent introduction. The research achievements, Huangbo Culture Research, Huangbo Culture: a Pearl in the History of China-Japanese exchanges （Chinese-Japanese bilingual edition) and other readings were given as a present to Chen.

Chen expressed his admiration for the university's achievements and its development plan. He expressed his willingness to give full play to his own advantages to support the development of FPNU.

Before the meeting, Chen gave a lecture to teachers and students of the School of Electronic and Mechanical Engineering and Technology, and held in-depth discussions with the faculty.
