Party Secretary Lai Hairong Led Team to visit Fujian Yuehu Equestrian Club

On the morning of March 30, Party Secretary Lai Hairong visited Fujian Yuehu Equestrian Club. He Hai, General Manager of the club, warmly received Secretary Lai and the delegation. Relevant principals of the Party and Administration Office and the School of Physical Education participated in the activity.

Secretary Lai amiably visited teachers and students, who were taking equestrian lessons, and attended the investigation forum. Lai learned in details about the setup of equestrian class, talent training, employment of graduates from related majors and other information. He pointed out that equestrian was unique and had positive effects on promoting cross-straits communication and cooperation of youth. He required that the School of Physical Education made full use of the major specialty of equestrian talent training, further strengthened the linkage with the equestrian club, achieved win-win development and improved the quality of talent training and core competence. He made requests toward the construction of stadium in our new campus. He asked the relevant departments to strengthen communication, benchmark against the first-class sports venues at home and abroad, make high-standard planning, build a number of venues for ball games, fencing, swimming and other sports so as to create conditions for organizing high level sports team training and sports events, and inject new impetus for regional economic and social development as well as the implementation of the Healthy China Initiative.


Fujian Yuehu Equestrian Club is the training base of Fujian Province, enjoying the highest level of training field, quality of horses and professional team. For a long time, the School of Physical Education of FPNU and Yuehu Equestrian Club cooperate to set up the first equestrian lesson and the province’s first university student equestrian team, jointly cultivate talents in equestrian professional training, business management, club operation and other aspects, and actively cultivate characterized sports.
