On June 6, Li Jian, Education and Culture Attache of Indonesian Embassy in China, Chen Shuling, Director of Strategic Research Department of Gentala Institute in Jakarta, Indonesia, led a delegation to visit FPNU. Professor Lai Hairong, Secretary of the FPNU Party Committee, met the delegation in the library lounge of Wumashan Campus. Vice President Professor Jiang Xingshan, and other relevant officials from FPNU Party and Government Office, International Cooperation and Exchange Office, School of Economics and Management, School of Foreign Languages, School of Overseas Education  attended the relevant activities.

Lai Hairong pointed out that FPNU is the only Chinese university of the "Two Countries, Two Parks" project , so the exchange and cooperation with Indonesia is one of the priorities of FPNU. FPNU will further give full play to its advantages, promote exchanges with Indonesia, build up the Indonesian language major, and enhance industrial cooperation between China and Indonesia, so as to make greater contributions to the economic, trade and cultural exchanges and cooperation between Fujian and Indonesia. Lai also hoped that the delegation would provide valuable advice for the development of FPNU.

A symposium was also held in the conference room of the Science Building. Jiang Xingshan, Vice President of FPNU, introduced a series of achievements of the "Two Countries, Two Parks" project between China and Indonesia in recent years, including the establishment of cooperative universities, scientific research cooperation platforms, industrial research centers, and the recruitment of Indonesian students and the establishment of the Indonesian language major. He expressed the hope that the delegation would provide support and help for FPNU to carry out exchanges and cooperation with Indonesia.

Attache Li Jian introduced his experience of studying in China and working in the Indonesian Ministry of Education, and put forward constructive suggestions on cooperative education and cultural exchanges between FPNU and Indonesian universities. He said that only when you go to China can you understand the real China and hope that more Indonesian students have the opportunity to study in China. Li also said that he would make every effort to promote exchanges and cooperation between the governments, universities, enterprises, communities and media of the two countries, and support FPNU to carry out educational and cultural exchanges with relevant parties in Indonesia.

Director Chen Shuling introduced her study and work experience in China and the Gentala Institute in Indonesia.

After the symposium, Attache Li Jian and Director Chen Shuling exchanged ideas with leaders and faculty representatives of the School of Foreign Languages, the School of Economics and Management, and the China-Indonesia Industrial Cooperation Research Center.

In the afternoon of the same day, Attache Li Jian and his delegation went to Yuanzai Primary School in Fuqing City to see the second class teaching of Indonesian language conducted under the guidance of FPNU, and had a cordial interaction with FPNU Indonesian language teachers and teachers and students of Yuanzai Primary School.
