On December 1st, the 3rd Overseas Chinese Talents Development Conference-Silk Road Chinese Education Cooperation Session took place in Fuzhou. During the event, an awarding ceremony for the Fujian Provincial Base for Overseas Chinese Language Education was held. Vice President Jiang Xingshan accepted the plaque on behalf of FPNU. This achievement marks that FPNU has stepped onto a new stage in serving the educational needs of overseas Chinese and promoting the international dissemination of Chinese culture.

    Overseas Chinese language education serves as a vital bridge for maintaining the cultural roots of overseas Chinese, enhancing their ethnic identity, and facilitating exchanges between China and other countries. FPNU attaches great importance to the cause of overseas Chinese language education. To date, we have enrolled international students from 11 countries including Indonesia, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Japan and Russia, etc. We have gradually built a "Chinese +" curriculum system, and through a variety of cultural experience activities, we help international students gain an in-depth understanding of the development context and social features of contemporary China. Meanwhile, FPNU has actively launched a series of characteristic exchange programs such as the "Root-Seeking Tour", "Chinese Bridge", "Maritime Silk Road Cultural Exchange" and "Exploring Hometown Origins in Fuqing". These programs organize overseas Chinese teenagers of Fujian origin to return to their ancestral homeland, allowing them to personally experience the local customs, cultural heritage of Fujian and the vivid practice of Chinese path to modernization, thereby deepening their cultural identity and fostering their homeland sentiment through immersive experiences.
