
On November 22nd, the 2025 China-Indonesia People-to-People Exchanges Development International Conference, hosted by FPNU, was successfuly held. The conference was guided by the Center for International People-to-People Exchange of the Ministry of Education, the Foreign Affairs Office of the People's Government of Fujian Province, and the Fujian International Communication Center. Nearly 300 guests from government departments, universities, think tanks, media outlets, enterprises and social organizations of China, Indonesia, Malaysia, etc attended the event. With the theme of " “Oceans Connect the Silk Road, Hearts Bridge the Islands: China-Indonesia Maritime Cooperation and Cultural Exchange”, the conference served as a platform for in-depth exchanges.

President Wu Keshou, Consul General of the Consulate General of Indonesia in Guangzhou Ben Perkasa Drajat, Director of the Vocational Education Quality Assurance and Development Center of the Indonesian Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education Anwar Sidarta, Chairman of the Indonesia-China Friendship Association Al Busyra Basnur, Deputy Director of the Center for International People-to-People Exchange of the Ministry of Education Zhang Xueren, and Vice Chairman of the Fujian Media Group Chen Jiawei attended the conference and delivered speeches.
Arief S Kartasasmita, President of Padjadjaran University in Indonesia; Katubi, Director and Research Professor of the Language and Literature Conservation Research Center of the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) of Indonesia; Xu Liping, Researcher at the National Institute of International Strategy, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences; Xu Bu, Member of the UN Secretary-General’s High-Level Advisory Board; and Wei Hong, Director of the Center for China-Indonesia People-to-People Exchange Studies at the School of Politics and International Relations, Central China Normal University, delivered keynote speeches.

During the parallel sessions, experts and scholars conducted enthusiastic, insightful and pragmatic discussions around topics of common concern, including China-Indonesia economic and trade integration and innovative development, maritime language communication and cultural mutual learning, sustainable development of marine food, vocational education cooperation, as well as exchanges and mutual learning of ethnic traditional sports.
