In order to implement the rural revitalization strategy of Fuqing City and strengthen the cooperation between FPNU and Fuqing, on the morning of December 15th, the rural revitalization strategic cooperation and tripartite cooperation signing ceremony organized by FPNU and Fuqing Municipal Committee Rural Revitalization Office was held in FPNU.

President of FPNU Liao Shenji, Vice President of FPNU Chen Zhiyong, Deputy Secretary of Fuqing Municipal Committee Chen Hengdong, Deputy Mayor of Fuqing Wang Yanlin, Director of Municipal Rural Agriculture Bureau Chen Ling, Director of Rural Revitalization Bureau Gao Jianming, Chairman of Rural Commercial Bank of Fuqing Huitong Co., Ltd. Xue Lijian, Head Office Manager Zheng Chengfeng, the head of the Scientific Research Office of FPNU, the head of the School of Culture, Media and Law, and representatives of teachers and students attended the signing ceremony.

On behalf of FPNU, Principal Liao Shenji expressed his warm welcome and heartfelt thanks to the leaders and guests who attended the signing ceremony, and introduced the development of FPNU. He said that the signing ceremony is a concrete action in response to General Secretary Xi Jinping’s emphasis on “agriculture, rural areas and farmers”. It is a pragmatic measure to implement the strategic deployment of the Party Central Committee, the State Council, the Provincial Party Committee, and the Provincial Government on rural revitalization, and is a vivid practice of implementing the school-local strategic cooperation framework agreement. FPNU will focus on the content and requirements of the innovative and practical research project for rural revitalization in Fuqing City, and actively play its advantages and roles in personnel training, scientific research, and social services. FPNU will assume the responsibility and mission as a university in rural revitalization, and help Fuqing fully integrate into the construction of Fujian and Fuzhou in this new era.

At the signing ceremony, Deputy Secretary of Fuqing Municipal Committee Chen Hengdong awarded the plaque to “Fuqing City Rural Revitalization Research Institute”, which is jointly established by the Fuqing Municipal Party Committee Rural Revitalization Office and FPNU. He also announced the launch of the first Fuqing Yurong Village Creative Short Video Competition.

Vice President Chen Zhiyong and Deputy Mayor Wang Yanlin signed the strategic cooperation framework agreement on rural revitalization, representing FPNU and the Rural Revitalization Office of Fuqing Municipal Party Committee. A tripartite cooperation agreement was signed by Fuqing Municipal Government, FPNU, and the Rural Commercial Bank of Fuqing Huitong.

On behalf of Fuqing Municipal Party Committee and Fuqing Municipal Government, Deputy Mayor Wang Yanlin thanked FPNU for its concern and support for Fuqing’s rural revitalization. He pointed out that with the goal of jointly promoting the rural revitalization of Fuqing, the cooperation will take all rural elements into account, optimize the allocation of resources, promote the development of the industries, strengthen the ability of innovation, improve the governance of rural area, and promote talent training. With these efforts, we will give full play to our advantageous resources to build an innovation system combining “production, learning, research and application”, and promote the innovative development of rural industries as well as the new eco-development of rural culture in Fuqing City. He hopes that the two parties will implement the cooperation agreement in an all-round way, cultivate more talents for Fuqing’s social and industrial development, and promote local economic construction.

Head Office Manager Zheng Chengfeng said that Rural Commercial Bank of Fuqing Huitong has always regarded serving agriculture, rural areas and farmers, and helping local enterprises as its business guideline. The bank is deeply rooted in Fuqing and will continue to expand its service. He hopes to carry out researches on the financial topic of rural revitalization in Fuqing area, together with Fuqing City Government and FPNU. With government’s support on the industry development and talents cultivated by FPNU, the bank will provide better and more convenient services for local people, and help promote the high-quality development of Fuqing rural revitalization strategy.

The leaders and guests also had an in-depth discussion on the joint cooperation of the government, FPNU, and the enterprise.
