On the morning of January 10, the Chief Representative of Okinawa Industry Promotion Public Corporation Fuzhou Office, Majikina Yu and the Deputy Director Zhang Xiaoyun, accompanied by Qiu Xiaoyan, the Deputy Director of the Translation Office of the Foreign Affairs Office of the People's Government of Fujian Province, visited FPNU for exchange. On behalf of FPNU, Professor Chen Zhiyong, the Vice President of FPNU, warmly received Majikina Yu and related representatives.
The two sides held an exchange meeting. Vice President Chen Zhiyong introduced the relevant situation and school-running characteristics of FPNU. He pointed out that 2022 marks the 50th anniversary of the normalization of diplomatic relations between China and Japan, and also the 25th anniversary of the establishment of friendship between Fujian Province and Okinawa Prefecture. He hoped that the two sides could take this opportunity to strengthen interaction and jointly promote exchanges and cooperation in the fields of culture and education between China and Japan.
Chief Representative Majikina Yu expressed his admiration for the achievements of FPNU. He briefly introduced the basic situation of Okinawa Industry Promotion Public Corporation, and expressed his willingness to cooperate with FPNU to strengthen communication in cultural, academic and educational exchanges, and set up a bridge for FPNU to carry out foreign cooperation in running schools.
Participants exchanged views on the establishment of the Taiko team of FPNU, strengthening academic exchanges and research, carrying out China-Japan cooperation in school running, and holding online exchange activities.
Accompanied by Vice President Chen Zhiyong, Majikina Yu and related representatives also visited the history exhibition hall and sand table model of FPNU, and watched th publicity video of the school. Relevant heads from Office of International Cooperation and Exchange, School of Education, School of Foreign Languages, and School of Physical Education attended relevant activities.
