On the afternoon of October 17th, President Liao Shenji had a face-to-face discussion with the postgraduate freshmen of the year 2022. Vice President Chen Zhiyong presided over the meeting.
On behalf of FPNU, President Liao extended a warm welcome to the students, and briefly introduced the history and goals of FPNU.
After carefully listening to the students’ self-introduction and future plans, President Liao put forward hopes to the students. He stressed that students should keep the motherland in mind, dream big, strive to improve their ability and go beyond themselves.
President Liao asked the relevant functional departments and schools of our university to attach importance to postgraduate education, strengthen contacts with Fuzhou University, Fujian Normal University, Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University and other combined training universities, strengthen the construction of postgraduate tutor team, create an excellent scientific research environment, and improve the quality of postgraduate training.
President Liao awarded the freshman scholarship to the 2022 postgraduate students.
Vice President Chen Zhiyong explained in detail the “Joint Program for Training Postgraduate Students” and the advantages of our university, encouraging the postgraduate candidates to apply for the combined postgraduate training program in FPNU.
The students also watched a video on academic moral norm.
