On October 16^th, the 20^th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC) opened at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing. Xi Jinping delivered a report to the Congress on behalf of the 19^th CPC Central Committee. 

      The CPC Party members and cadres, teachers and students of FPNU watched the opening ceremony of the 20^th CPC National Congress and listened to Xi Jinping’s report with great enthusiasm via the Internet, television, and radio.

          At 10 a.m. that day, the FPNU Party Committee held an extended study session. The CPC Party members and cadres, teachers and students of FPNU was greatly encouraged and energized by Xi’s report. Secretary of the Party Committee of FPNU Lai Hairong said that the report summarizes the achievements China has made in the past decade since the new era, especially since the 19^th CPC National Congress in 2017. The report also points out the direction for the great cause of rejuvenation of the Chinese nation and the construction of socialist modernization. All the Party members, teachers and students of FPNU should follow the instructions of the report to promote the overall development of FPNU.

       The sub-organizations of FPNU Party Committee organized teachers and students to watch the opening ceremony in classrooms, conference rooms, student dormitories and canteens. The Communist Youth League Committee of FPNU also organized student representatives to watch the ceremony.
