On November 25th, the 2022 "Success Cup" Southeast Region Trial of the National Light Industry Vocational Skills Competition of Crafts Carving (Agate Jade) was successfully opened in FPNU. President Liao Shenji attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech.

On behalf of FPNU, President Liao sincerely welcomed the leaders, experts, and contestants presented at the ceremony. He also introduced the situation and future development scheme of FPNU. He said, “Our university attached great importance to this competition and would spare no effort to undertake the competition and served participating teachers and students from heart and soul. Also, the university would take advantage of the competition to promote learning and created synergy through the joint efforts of enterprises, universities, and research institutes.

Director Xie Zhaohua pointed out that the skilled talents are the support for the workforce development strategy, and competition is an important way to cultivate and select skilled talents. The working group would strictly follow the competition management regulations stipulated by the Organizing Committee, and make new and greater contributions to promoting the high-quality development of the jewelry and jade industry.

At the opening ceremony, Director Wang Yufeng read out the approval document of the competition. President Wang Changkun, the representative of the judges, and the representative of the competitors, Tu Jianchao from the arts and crafts major of FPNU, respectively read out the oath. Dean Chen Lizhong announced the opening of the competition.

The competition was hosted by the China National Light Industry Council, the National Committee of the Trade Union of Financial and Commercial Workers, Light Industry and Textile Workers, Tobacco Industry Workers, the China Light Industry Jewelry Center, and guided by the Culture, History and Study Committee of the CPPCC Fujian Provincial Committee, and the Fujian Working Committee of the Trade Union of Financial and Commercial Workers, Light Industry and Textile Workers, Tobacco Industry Workers, Medicine Industry Workers. After signing up and competitions, 44 contestants were shortlisted for the Southeast Region Trials.
