From March 20th to March 23rd, Liao Shenji, President of FPNU led a team to Hebei Normal University, Jilin Agricultural University and Jilin Engineering Normal University for study.
The research team held discussions and exchanges with the three universities respectively to gain an in-depth understanding of the experience and characteristics of the three in the history of school-running, development planning, discipline construction, talent cultivation, teaching staff construction, scientific research, continuing education and other aspects. Liu Jingze, President of Hebei Normal University, pointed out that, as one of the first universities to carry out the discipline construction of home economics and the training of vocational teachers in China, HNU has specific similarities with FPNU in the development of relevant disciplines and talent training. He showed the willingness to carry out in-depth exchanges and close cooperation with our university. Feng Jiang, President of Jilin Agricultural University, said that we have the foundation for cooperation. They are willing to give full play to the advantages of JAU and carry out cooperation in the cultivation of post graduates and in-service teacher training in home economics, so as to jointly contribute to the development of home economics discipline in China. President Yang Xiaodong from Jilin Engineering Normal University pointed out that the two universities have the same school-running model type and orientation, so we should strengthen ties, learn from each other and promote development together.
Mr. Liao expressed his gratitude to the three universities for their warm hospitality. He briefly introduced the school-running situation, development plan, school-running characteristics of FPNU, as well as the discipline construction of home economics, and some other aspects. He hopes to strengthen ties with the three universities and carry out cooperation in discipline construction, talent training, vocational teacher training and so on.
The research team visited the College of Home Economics in Hebei Normal University, the training rooms and the laboratories in Jilin Agricultural University, and the history exhibition hall of Jilin Engineering Normal University. During study, President Liao Shenji and his team also visited the China Vocational Education Museum and exchanged views with the relevant head of the museum on the development history, future trend and practice path of vocational education in China.
