On the afternoon of March 28, the university held the 2023 Annual Safety Work Conference. Secretary of the Party Committee Lai Hairong made a speech. President Liao Shenji deployed 2023 campus security work. Our university leaders and the heads of schools and departments were also present at the meeting.

President Liao Shenji reviewed the overall situation of campus safety work in 2022, analyzed the new situation, and deployed the 2023 work from the aspects of safety information collection, fire safety management, hidden dangers screening, mental health education, traffic safety management and safety education management. He stressed that this year is a pivotal year for our university to speed up the construction of a first-class application-oriented university. Each unit should understand the situation and increase the sense of responsibility for campus safety, and through solid and hard work, create a safe and harmonious campus.

Secretary Lai Hairong put forward three requirements. First, shoulder the responsibility. We should rise to the new challenge and shoulder our responsibility for securing campus security. Second, take the initiative. We should take prompt actions and ensure effective risk prevention in high-quality. Third, work hard and strive for efficiency. We should bear the campus safety work in mind and persist with a holistic and systematic approach to ensuring campus safety across the board.

Vice President Shang Guangmei required all units convey and implement the spirit of the meeting, raise awareness of and take the initiative in campus safety work.

At the meeting, Secretary Lai Hairong, President Liao Shenji and persons in charge of each school and department signed the Statements of Responsibility for 2023 Campus Comprehensive Administration Goals of Safety and Stability and the Statements of Responsibility for Fire Safety.
