From March 14th to 15th, a group of experts from the Chinese Society of Technical and Vocational Education (CSTVE), including Song Shufang, Deputy Director of the International Cooperation and Exchange Committee and the Health Care and Wellness Committee, and Lv Dongsheng, Deputy Director of the Medical and Health Education Committee and the Health Care and Wellness Committee, visited FPNU for research. Lai Hairong, Secretary of FPNU Party Committee, and Liao Shenji, President of FPNU, held talks with the experts. Vice President Chen Zhiyong, leaders of the Party and Administration Office, the Office of International Cooperation and Exchange, the School of Education, the School of Continuing Education and other FPNU departments attended the talks.
Lai and Liao extended their welcome and gratitude to Song and Lv. They said as the only university in Fujian province that aimed to train teachers for vocational education. FPNU adhered to its original mission and educational orientation, and was committed to realizing the high-quality development of vocational education in the new era. The FPNU leaders hoped that CSTVE would care about the development of FPNU, and provide support for the training of technical professionals and vocational education teachers, and the international cooperation in vocational education.
Song and Lv went to Wumashan and Shizhushan Campus to visit the school history exhibition hall and practical teaching places, and learn about the current achievements, vocational education development and future planning of FPNU. They also held special research symposiums on the construction of specialties such as home economics and medicine, as well as on the training of teachers and international cooperation in vocational education. The experts expressed their appreciation for the contributions of FPNU for the development of vocational education in Fujian Province, and said they would join hands with FPNU to promote vocational education in the new era.
