On September 13th, the first overseas students, who come from Indonesia, arrived at Wumashan campus of FPNU.

    The arriving of the overseas students is high on the agenda. College of Culture and Law (College of Overseas Education) formulated the plans for overseas students’ return, including the arrangement for airport pickup. The heads of the college visited them in their dormitories. It is hoped that they can live up to the expectations of the times and make full advantage of the opportunities to study and live in FPNU, to enhance the understanding of China and be the envoys of cultural exchange between two countries. The overseas students expressed their gratitude to the university, and expressed that they would adjust themselves to the new environment and fully engage in study.

    The coronavirus pandemic has forced these students to learn from home in their first year or two. During the pandemic, College of Overseas Students carried out remote teaching for the students. To ensure the learning quality, different methods were adopted, such as teaching through online livestream platform, broadcasting live the offline classes  and setting up study groups.

    Enrolling overseas students is a significant step to serve the Belt and Road Initiative and “Two Countries, Twin Parks” project between China and Indonesia. It is also of great significance for enhancing cultural exchanges between China and other countries and improving educational level and social reputations of our university. The arrival of the first overseas students symbolizes a new journey of international education of the university.
