On the afternoon of September 6th , Christina Lim, daughter of Dr. Lim Hariyanto Wijaya Sarwono and Executive Director of Bhumitama Argiculture Co., LTD, her husband Zhu Zhaochang, and Wang Chaosheng, Vice Chairman of Jakarta Fuqing Labor Union were invited to visit FPNU. Lai Hairong, Secretary of FPNU Party Committee, and Principal Wu Keshou warmly received Director Christina Lim and her delegation. Shang Guangmei and Jiang Xingshan, Vice Presidents of FPNU, The United Front Work Office of the CPC FPNU Committee, heard of FPNU Alumni Association, the head and teacher representatives from the School of Qiaoxing Economics and Management, and representatives of Indonesia students participated the activity.
Secretary Lai Haironf warmly welcomed Director Christina Lim and her delegation, and extended his sincere greetings to Dr. Lim Hariyanto Wijaya Sarwono through Director Lim.
Secretary Lai Hairong accompanied Director Christina Lim and her delegation to visit the FPNU History Exhibition Hall and review the history of FPNU. He briefly introduced the basic situation of the school, reviewing the donation process of Lin Lianxing Science and Technology Building, and showing the design effect of Lin Caifengying Library. He also introduced the mutual assistance between the school and Zuqin High School. Secretary Lai particularly mentioned the touching stories of Dr. Lim’s love and generosity for hometown and education during his visit to Lianfeng Primary School and Zuqin High School which were funded by Dr. Lim, and he truly felt the benevolence and noble qualities of Dr. Lim and his family.
At the appointment ceremony for the visiting professor, President Wu Keshou expressed his high respect to Dr. Lim for caring about and supporting the development of Zubang’s charity and education, and also expressed sincere thanks to Director Lim who inherited Dr. Lim’s noble spirits. He noticed that, the ardent care and support from Dr. Lim and other leaders of overseas Chinese to the construction of FPNU made the whole school feel the deep friendship and cheer up. He pointed out that, the school would continue to strive to accelerate the construction of a high-level technical normal school with distinctive characteristics, better serving Fuqing’s construction of a modern international coastal city and vast numbers of villagers at home and abroad.
Vice President Jiang Xingshan read the approval letter of appointment, Principal Wu Keshou presented the visiting professor appointment letter to Director Christina Lim and presented school souvenirs to her delegation.
Director Lim expressed that, it was her honor to be the visiting professor of Fujian Polytechnic Normal School, and she felt vey lucky to have the opportunity to return to hometown Fuqing, where her grandfather and father had dreamed of. She hoped to continue to
exert her influence to deepen the cooperation and exchange between the school and Indonesian enterprises and universities, making more contribution to the development of school and hometown. Director Christina Lim and her delegation also visited the campus accompanied by Vice President Shang Guangmei.
