On February 4th, 65 teachers and students from Nanyang International School of Jakarta, Indonesia, visited FPNU to carry out an in-depth cultural experience activity themed "Cultural as the Medium, Education as the Bridge".

The first stop was Fuqing South Shaolin Temple. In the ancient and magnificent temple buildings, Shaolin masters guided them with Zen philosophy, explaining the spiritual core of the traditional Chinese culture of "cultivating the mind internally and rectifying conduct externally". When learning that some of the building materials, the Merbau wood, originated from Indonesia, this physical connection across mountains and seas made the teachers and students marvel at the wisdom of Tang Dynasty mortise and tenon architecture, and at the same time deeply experience the profound origins of cultural exchanges between China and Indonesia.

In the history exhibition hall of FPNU, the teachers and students learned about the development course of FPNU through precious materials, and felt the long-term care and support from the Indonesian overseas Chinese community. This bond allowed them to have a more three-dimensional understanding of FPNU.

In the cultural experience session of "Listening to Folk Music • Creative Chinese Folk Music Painting", Indonesian teachers and students used paintbrushes to depict the "Chinese Impression" in their hearts, recording their understanding and resonance with Chinese culture. The activity was a vivid practice of FPNU in innovatively promoting international Chinese language education.

Since the two parties signed an agreement four years ago, FPNU has integrated music, painting, handicrafts and classic recitation through platforms such as morning assemblies, guiding Indonesian students to understand the connotation of classics such as Standards for Being a Good Student and Child in a pleasant atmosphere, and perceive the warmth and charm of Chinese culture, realizing cross-border extension of classrooms, vivid transmission of culture and sincere dialogue between hearts. This in-depth collaboration has become a silent and mutually beneficial joint education practice. As of this semester, FPNU has achieved full coverage of innovative Chinese courses for the primary school department of Nanyang International School of Jakarta.
