It will effectively solve the problems reported by students to create better conditions for their healthy growth. He encouraged the students to express their ideas fully and freely and play a part in the university’s development.
The students present put forward opinions and suggestions on specialty construction, internship and practicum, employment and innovative undertaking, campus management, volunteer service, logistics support, etc. The heads of relevant functional offices responded in detail.
President Liao asked all functional offices and schools to see to the needs of students, keep the communication channel open, and go deep into the reality. He required them to continuously improve and optimize services to meet students’ needs for individualized development.
President Liao expressed his four hopes for students. The first is to have high aspirations and set up ideals; the second is to be down-to-earth and build abilities; the third is to act in a good and virtuous manner and cultivate a noble character; and the fourth is to be robust and vibrant and forge a healthy body and mind. He hoped that the students would establish the idea that they study and become a talent for national rejuvenation, that the realization of dreams starts from studying and success depends on abilities, and that everyone is the first person responsible for their own health. He hoped that the students would actively promote and practice the core socialist values and lay a solid foundation for their lifelong development in the youth years on the warm and loving campus.
Deputy Secretary Lin Haifeng expressed his hopes that the students keep in mind the President’s expectations, learning how to learn, how to improve their comprehensive quality, and how to deal with the society and others. He also encouraged students to participate in the course of the university’s development and grow together with the university.
