Vice Governor Kang Tao affirmed FPNU’s positioning, achievements, and future development directions. He also made an on-site survey on FPNU's majors, talent training, construction of teaching staff, teaching and learning of ideological and political theory, graduate employment, and campus culture, based on which he provided guidance on the development of FPNU.
He emphasized that it is fundamental to adhere to cultivating students with morality, especially equipping student teachers with professional code of ethics for teachers. It is of great importance to lead the inculcation of ideological and political theories in classrooms to go along ideological and political courses. Moreover, FPNU is expected to continue strengthening mental health education and campus culture construction. FPNU should speed up its transformation; in this process, it should stick to its distinctive characteristics and advantages to meet the training needs of Fujian vocational teachers. At the same time, FPNU should do its utmost to eliminate the bottleneck of funding shortfalls, like winning financial support from the government, overseas Chinese and their family, enterprises, and alumni. He also asked Fujian Provincial Department of Human Resources and Social Security to provide further guidance to FPNU and deepen the cooperation and connection with FPNU for its future development.
