In order to thoroughly implement the important deployment of deepening national reading campaign in the 20th National Congress of the CPC, further promote campus reading activities, and promote the comprehensive improvement of education level, FPNU organized the “Enjoy Literature, Compose a Splendid Chapter of the Times” Reading Festival on the occasion of the World Book Day .
The Reading Festival kicked off on April 19th, and will run until the end of June. As of today, a series of activities have been carried out, including the exhibition of the “Revival Library” series of historical documents, the book crossing activity and so on.
The purpose of this Reading Festival is to combine the reading activities with the ongoing theme education on studying and implementing Xi Jinping’s thoughts on socialism with Chinese characteristics for the new era, and to integrate them with education and teaching. Through the series of rich and distinctive activities, we aim to guide teachers and students to enter the library, establish lofty ideals and beliefs through reading, build up national cultural confidence, and strive to become practitioners who advocate knowledge and persistence in reading. We hope to create a learning atmosphere that encourages “loving reading, reading good books, and reading well”, further promoting the construction of a campus culture of reading.
