On the afternoon of October 26, President of FPNU, Liao Shenji and his party went to Foreign Affairs Office of the People's Government of Fujian Province to visit Director Chen Chuxin. Director Chen Chuxin warmly met with President Liao Shenji and had an discussion and exchange. The relevant heads of the Overseas Management Office, Asia Office, Translation Office and other departments of Foreign Affairs Office of the People's Government of Fujian Province also participated in the exchange.

President Liao Shenji expressed warm congratulations to Director Chen Chuxin on his new post and wholehearted thanks for his concern and support for the development of FPNU. President Liao introduced the basic information, recent work priorities and future development plan of FPNU. He hopes director Chen will give strong support to FPNU in carrying out the research on industrial cooperation between China and Indonesia, accelerating cultural interaction between China and Japan, and promoting foreign cooperation in running schools. President Liao said, FPNU is located in the famous hometown of overseas Chinese. FPNU will give full play to its regional and geographical advantages, perform the functions of international communication and cooperation, and better serve the overall situation of national diplomacy.

Director Chen Chuxin thinks highly of the effectiveness of the foreign communication and cooperation of FPNU. He said, the key areas of international cooperation expanded by FPNU are consistent with the work priorities of Foreign Affairs Office of the People's Government of Fujian Province(FAO), and FAO will promote educational cooperation between FPNU and relevant universities in Indonesia, Japan, Thailand, Brazil and other countries. Support will be offered to develop programs like the industrial cooperation research between China and Indonesia, close docking of vocational education between China and Japan, and the research of regional characteristic culture. He hopes that, FPNU will, on the basis of discipline and regional advantages, deeply integrate into the construction of “Two Countries, Twin Parks” project between China and Indonesia, play a role in the construction of Fujian sister cities and better serve the overall diplomacy of the central government and the construction of new Fujian.
