Ceará is the first state in Latin America with which Fujian established a Sister-Province relation. Ceará and Fujian became sister provinces/states in 2001. In these two decades, the two parties made cultural exchanges, and actively promoted the cooperation in economy, trade, tourism, infrastructure and other fields. The friendship has stood the test of time and even the epidemic.
